Painting: Three Religions

This painting is a rather large triptych. "Three Religions - Jews, Christians, Muslims - Harmony."
A menorah, the multi-branched candelabra used in the religious rituals of Judaism, particularly Hanukah, represents the Jews, but also serves as the top of the papal tiara, the crown worn by the popes of the Catholic Church.
The said tiara here adorns the head of - guess who the pope is.
Right under and grounding the painting are the heads of seven pious Muslims, kneeled down and praying their no-less-beautiful God.
This painting honors all three religions - Jewish, Catholic/Christian, and Muslim - all three coexisting in harmony, yet being no less integral and beautiful or it. This painting is all about peace and love - of God and, most of all, other humans. Respect and solidarity come first.

Zoom in on John Paul II's face... Some of the brushstrokes do try to capture some of the character's warmth. The first non-Italian Pope in 455 years is widely credited with combatting dictatorships, helping to end communist rule in his native Poland, promoting democracy, and expanding the Church's influence worldwide. No wonder he was popular.
